We are delighted to announce that the Lámh Time App for iPad and iPhone will officially launch shortly, and is now available here .

The Lámh Time App© is a new play and learning app for children who use Lámh signs© to support their communication.

On the App, expert presenters Maura Bolger and Keith Hanley use Lámh signs to guide Lámh users through fun activities as well as illustrated stories. Families and professionals can use the Lámh Sign Library included in the App to practice individual Lámh Signs from each section.

Lámh and Down Syndrome Ireland have worked in collaboration to produce this Lámh Time App for young Lámh users.

Lámh signs have been used in Ireland for over 30 years by children and adults with Down syndrome, as well as those with developmental disability, physical disability and autism. Use of Lámh signs can reduce frustration and encourages eye contact and attention to movement - skills that are important for speech development.

The Lámh Time App features Lámh signs for use at Home and at School. With the app, Lámh users have opportunities to see Lámh signs in context and in sentences, for the classroom, the kitchen, at the playground, etc. Live action is combined with colourful graphics and animation to help make learning fun.

The Lámh Time App can be used by young Lámh users, families and professionals at home and in education and therapeutic settings. The app supports signing in context and Lámh Sign practice.

To learn about Lámh Signs and Lámh use, families and professionals can attend a range of Lámh Courses by speaking to their Speech & Language Therapist or Service Provider. There are over 180 Lámh Tutors working in services around Ireland and almost 2,000 staff members and families attend Lámh Courses every year*.
