Lámh Research Projects 2016
St. Angela's Sligo and COPE Foundation in Cork are the recipients of the 2016 Lámh Small Research Projects funding bursaries.
We were delighted to receive a significant amount of interest in this research funding, and following a rigorous judging process, the Lámh Research & Development Sub-committee awarded the funding of €4,000 to be shared by 2 projects:
St. Angela's Sligo (Michele Glacken, St. Angela's is pictured here with Gemma Clerkin Lámh Director (right) and Mary Cullen, Lámh Project Manager (left)). This project will look at families experiences of using and learning Lámh.
COPE Foundation in Cork will look at Lámh sign use and training for staff members, including barriers to use of Lámh signs and how training programmes might address these in future.
Best of luck to the Lámh Scholars and we look forward to practical outcomes for Lámh users, families and other communication partners from this research!
